TradeWinds Island Grand

This Florida Gulf beachfront resort offers five swimming pools: one covered, two family pools, one adults-only pool, and a children's pool with wading area. Beach cabanas, volleyball, and a variety of water sports are available at the resort's white-sand beach. There are four Har-Tru tennis courts, two spa tubs, a playground, hammocks, life-size lawn chess set, and supervised children’s programs (surcharge).

Beaker, the TradeWinds Island Grand's toucan mascot, is available for tuck-ins Friday and Saturday nights (surcharge). Reservations are requested.

The resort's fitness center has treadmills, elliptical cross trainers, recumbent and upright bikes, cable crossover machines, a Nautilus circuit, free weights, Body Master equipment, and aerobics classes. The Body Works Salon & Spa offers 40 treatments (surcharge).

The resort has 56,000 square feet of function space, including 30,000 square feet of air-conditioned space and 26,000 square feet of breezeways and open-air space. A business center has computers, high-speed Internet access, a printer, and copy machine.

KONK Club (Kids Only, No Kidding!)
TradeWinds Island Resorts offers the KONK Club—a fully supervised kids’ program, open to children ages 4 – 11 (surcharges apply). Club activities include crafts, games, and activities relating to the theme of the day. The club also features Captain RedBeard, a “pirate” who provides tall tales and robust songs—there’s also a family-friendly pirate flick which families are invited to see at the “dive-in” movies. The TradeWinds Action Zone (T.A.Z.) team offers poolside bingo, glow-in-the-dark volleyball, and a sand-sculpting contest. Swimming lessons are also available, as are “Beaker Tuck-Ins.” Beaker the toucan will arrive to tuck children into bed and present them with a keepsake Beaker toy.

Most events are located at Island Grand. Pre-registration is required; space is limited. All children must be completely potty trained.
